The dragon is one of the 12 animals (Rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, dog, and pig) in the Chinese zodiac which is used to designate years in the Chinese lunar calendar. Each of the 12 animals represents a year. (eg. 2008 is the year of Rat) It is thought that the people who were born in the same year would have the similar personality traits which is associated with the animal that represents the year.
龍是中國生肖的12個動物(鼠、牛、虎、兔、龍、蛇、馬、羊、猴、雞、狗和豬)之一，生肖是以中國農曆為主。 12生肖裡，每一種動物代表一年 (例如2008年是鼠年)。通常認為在同年出生的人會有相似的個性，而他們的個性和那年所代表的動物也有所關連。
